How will I know if therapy is working?
People find healing in many ways. Counseling can be a vital avenue for health and wholeness. In counseling, the greatest factor of growth and change is the therapeutic relationship. I work to create a relationship with my clients in which they feel both held and free. Please take a look around on the website and feel free to contact me with any questions.
How long will I be in therapy?
There is no single answer for how long to engage in counseling. For some it becomes a relationship that goes on for years due to the depth of the work we are doing. Others find that after a few months they have acquired new skills or insight and they are where they set out to be. Most clients find that consistent weekly counseling is the most beneficial to reaching their goals.
What can I expect for the first session?
I work collaboratively with my clients, and therefore together we will navigate how we want to work. In the first session, we will discuss your goals of therapy, and any history you feel comfortable sharing. I will be available to share more about my style of working and answer questions you may have.
